日本から持って来たまな板が汚くなってきたので、リフレッシュすることになりました。
カビやシミがあり、中央が少し減ってます。
上のほうに見えるのは日本のカンナとナイフ用の砥石(オイルストーン)。道具は完全ではないですが西洋カンナよりはマシではないでしょうか。
平面性を確認しながらガンガン削っていきます。
出来上がり。大量のカンナ屑が出ました。

アメリカの樹脂製のまな板は良いのですが、木製のは反っちゃいますね。濡れた物を切るようには作られていないのかもしれません。
日本製の引いて切る鋸はアメリカのホームセンターでも売っているのですが、鉋は見たこと無いですねぇ。そのうち西洋カンナもトライしてみましょう。

I'm not sure why but this website is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I'll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
